What is Clinical Pilates?
Clinical Pilates is a form of rehabilitative and low impact exercise which focuses on posture, core stability, balance, control, strength, flexibility, and breathing.
The Clinical Pilates program at Axis Osteo & Movement is customised to every patient. Each patient is assessed one-on-one with their practitioner, where a personalised Pilates program is formed.
Clients and patients can choose to stay in 1:1 classes or begin group classes which are kept at a maximum of 4 people per class.
Clinical Pilates vs Regular Pilates?
The difference between Clinical Pilates and Regular Pilates is mainly due to the type of training the instructor has received. Clinical Pilates Instructors have a knowledge of human anatomy and injury rehabilitation, which ensures that each client receives the correct exercise for their body and capabilities.
Regular Pilates generally has larger group sizes with only one instructor, whereas Clinical Pilates has small group sizes. At Axis Osteo & Movement our classes are kept to a maximum of 4 people, so that each client is supervised at all times.
